Hi, I’m Kim
- wife, mom of two incredible boys, and the heart behind Picnic Fantasies.
This brand started from one simple dream:
I wanted to bring my own event fantasy to life. I wanted to do something unique for my gender reveal- something beautiful, intentional, and unforgettable. When I came across a stunning luxury picnic in the U.S I fell in love instantly! I went on the hunt for a local provider that could execute exactly what I envisioned but couldn’t find anyone who could bring it to life. So, I decided to do it myself!
That one DIY moment changed everything. After that first setup, the compliments and questions kept pouring in! “Wow!! Who did this?” and “Can I book you?” Before I knew it, Picnic Fantasies Curated Experiences was born. What started as a personal project during maternity leave turned into something much bigger.. a passion for curating beautiful, intentional experiences for others who craved the same kind of magic.
How we’ve grown
Three years later, Picnic Fantasies has grown into a creative brand that brings people together through unforgettable experiences. From intimate picnics and romantic proposals, to luxury hotel setups, birthdays, anniversary and elopements- we’ve become Halifax’s go to brand for immersive, beautifully curated experiences. But our story didn’t stop there. We introduced DIY Socials, starting with Gingerbread Dreams, our festive gingerbread house decorating event that that kicked off a whole new chapter. The energy was pure magic! So we kept going, hosting Wick & Wine, our first candle making event for Valentine’s and Galentine’s Day, which turned out to be one of our biggest hits yet. We’ve hosted multiple events since, always filling the room with creativity, connection and a diverse crowd that truly reflects our local community- something we’re so proud of!
The Birth of Pretty Pours
Wick & Wine reignited something in me-I’ve always been multifaceted. I love creating, experimenting, and bringing people together. Candle making gave me the freedom to do all that and more. And that’s how Pretty Pours was born! A dessert inspired candle collection that’s just as pretty as the memories we create.
